Navy is typically a classic color that can be very versatile . Here I have paired it with fun stand out accessories to toughen up an other wise serious pinstripe coat. I am seeing tremendous menswear infleuences in fashion right now and this will continue to be strong. Adding a strong statement coat is an easy way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe.
Accessorizing with moto boots and driving gloves give this outfit an extra edge.
I’ve always had a slight obsession with hats of all kinds. I especially love customizing pieces to make it my own one of a kind. Here I added a racing vintage pin for added interest .
If you have ever been afraid of mixing pattern, here is a way to do it in the same color family .It is a more subtle approach but still gives your outfit an interesting twist.
So while shopping in Manhattan,my sister and I stumbled upon the Manhattan Vintage show which never disappoints. We made a 4 hours detour to dig for treasures. My sister who hates the smell of vintage and itches at it’s sight was really impressed, as this was her first visit. I try to come as much as I can because I always find the most amazing unique pieces. It’s hard to not buy everything. You have to have some idea of how much you want to spend and stick to it. I also love to haggle with the vendors for a good deal. Here are some shots from my treasure hunt!
This lady I met while shopping was simply amazing ,she was so stylish and full of life! Her personality was so magnetic . She told me I should buy this coat…. “It’s fabbbbbulous darling, you must” . As you can see she had me in stitches!
These embelished cloche hats from the 20’s were a show stopper!
So I enquired about this controversial leotard which drew a small crowd giggling at its phrase. This was actually the the slogan for “Stiff Records” which was formed in 1976. They started at the heart of new wave music.
Taking a break for some delicious crepes.
I adored the color and print of this faux fur stole .
Yes you are right this is a 90210 sweater coat ! How fun right ?
Loved this 70’s inspired cape coat. Definitely a show stopper piece!
Capes, capes, capes everywhere! I can’t wait to do a post dedicated to my fave capes .
Yep I scored ! I would definitely suggest you attend the next show in April. I have included a link with all the upcoming show details here .
